Introduction To Cake Decorating

This class is the perfect introduction to cake decorating and sugarcraft, ideal for absolute beginners and intermediate levels.
During this class we will cover the techniques required to level, fill, stack, crumb-coat (butter-cream) and cover a large Madeira cake with soft, rounded edges. You will learn how to colour and treat/strengthen your sugarpaste/fondant to create the perfect sugar medium to create hand-made decorations.
Once we have prepared our pastes, we will go on to make an array of decorations including ruffle rosettes, Garret frills, un-wired flowers, and moulded embellishments. After assembling your hand-made decorations on your cake, we will complete the design by creating a beautiful edible lace or pearl trim.
Everything required is provided for you including cake, materials and use of tools.
