Learn how to achieve this year’s on-trend edible jewelled effects as you create a 3-tier masterpiece incorporating an all-over pearl-lustre effect tier, an all-over jewelled (edible glitter/sequin) tier and a ‘porcelain’ effect tier, hand-piped with royal iced tube-work detail.
During this full-day class you will learn the tricks of the trade which will help you to achieve a perfect ganache covering, providing a flawless foundation for sugarpaste (fondant). We will go on to create a fabulous sharp-edge fondant covering before adding internal supports and securely stacking your stunning 3-tier celebration cake.
Keeping with current wedding cake trends, you will learn how to sculpt stunning wired, sugar O’Hara Roses with complimentary foliage and fillers which we will then use to create a beautiful floral arrangement to adorn your 3-tier cake.
Decoration will consist of an all-over pearl-lustre effect tier, all-over jewelled (edible
glitter/sequin) tier, hand-piped royal iced detail bottom tier, hand-made wired sugar flowers (O’Hara Roses and foliage).
For this class, we will use a mixture of Madeira cakes and cake dummies although we offer the option of using three cake dummies for those who simply cannot bear to cut into their masterpiece!
