3-Tier Buttercream Floral Garland Cake

During this full day class, we use traditional buttercream with a touch of contemporary flair as we discover the art of piping beautiful butter-cream flowers. We will start by discussing the essential tools and equipment before making the perfect piping buttercream to withstand every climate. You will learn how to achieve a pleasing colour palette to create monochrome, multi-tone and blended colour techniques, and the various ways to fill your piping bags for effective, efficient results every time.
Using a variety of piping tips, you will learn the basic and intermediate piping techniques required to recreate an abundance of buttercream flowers including Roses, Ranunculus, Peony, Hydrangea, Daisies, Primula and more! You’ll also have the option to try your hand with the latest ‘all-in-one’ Russian piping tubes, enabling you to pipe beautiful flowers with just one squeeze!
Whilst the flowers are setting, we will split, level and fill our three tiers of cake before creating an all-over buttercream covering.
Finally, we will assemble your hand-piped flowers to create a beautiful floral garland design and add finishing touches including leaves, stamens and filler-buds to really bring your design to life.
