During this full day class students will learn how to split, level, fill, support and stack a 3-tier cake, including a double-barrel (double-height) tier and a porcelain-effect sugar teapot. After decorating the cakes with sugarpaste, we will create an edible tartan-effect sugar wrap for the double-barrel tier. The teapot will be decorated using Bas-relief techniques and I will show you how to achieve a glossy porcelain finish to fool even the keenest eye. Finally, we will make some beautiful handmade wired sugar Pansies to be displayed inside the teapot and complete the design with moulded edible lace trim.
